Australian Event Awards

The Sydney Showground team were named Best Venue at the 2011 Australian Event Awards. It was a recognition for the commitment and expertise of the Sydney Showground team in delivering more than 400 exhibitions, conferences, festivals and events each year. The next big event at the venue will be V8 Supercars 2011 from 2nd to 4th December.

Love, Loss, and What I Wore

Based on the book by Ilene Beckerman and adapted for the stage by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, it is staged in the Playhouse from December 29 to January 16.
After runs in New York, Toronto and San Francisco, the Sydney season will be directed by Wayne Harrison and boast an impressive cast including Magda Szubanski., Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Toni Lamond, Amanda Muggleton and Mirrah Foulkes. With the cast dressed smartly in black, naturally designed by Carla Zampatti, Love, Loss, and What I Wore is an intimate collection of 28 stories about our wardrobes and the memories that they trigger.
